This notice explains what personal data Prolight International Ventures Ltd collects when you use this website or deal with us, why we need it, and what choices you have. We have kept it as short and plain as we can.

Prolight International Ventures Ltd (RC 1698735) is the data controller for the personal data described here. Our registered office is Suite 009, Wing C, Grand Ibro Hotel, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, Nigeria.
2. What we collect
- Details you give us when you send a request for quotation or contact us: your name, organisation, email, phone number, delivery location and the details of your requirement, plus any documents you attach.
- Business records when we work together: contracts, quotations, invoices, delivery and payment records.
- Technical data when you visit the site: IP address, browser type and pages viewed. Analytics data is collected only if you allow it.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data through this website. Please do not include it in your request.
3. How we use it and why
- To respond to your request and prepare a quotation. Our lawful basis is your consent and steps you asked us to take before a contract.
- To deliver what we agreed and invoice for it. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting, tax and company records. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure and working. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe site.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
4. Who we share it with
Only with people who need it to do the job: our staff, suppliers and logistics partners involved in your order, our professional advisers, and the IT providers who host our website and email. Each is bound to keep your data confidential. We will also share data where the law or a regulator requires it.
5. Transfers outside Nigeria
Some of our IT providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we make sure the transfer meets the conditions in the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, such as adequate protection in the receiving country or suitable contractual safeguards.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to business are deleted after 12 months. Contract, invoice and payment records are kept for as long as Nigerian tax and company law requires, then securely deleted.
7. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data where we no longer need it;
- restrict or stop certain uses of your data, or object to them;
- give you your data in a format you can take to another provider;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.

8. Keeping it safe
We use secure (HTTPS) connections on this site, limit access to staff who need it, and protect our systems with passwords and access controls. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage so the site works, for example to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies, which help us see how the site is used, are only set if you click Accept analytics. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no font provider sees your visit.
